After years of living in a squatting area,  Anjanette Naughton is elated to finally move into her own home, according to a release from the Central Housing and Planning Authority.

Naughton is the proud beneficiary of the Adequate Housing and Urban Accessibility, Core Home support home.

On Friday morning, Housing and Water Minister,  Collin Croal presented  Naughton with the keys to her home and congratulated her on the occasion.

In comments, Naughton said: “This is a great and wonderful privilege because I have been looking for my own home a long time and  the situation (is) you don’t have enough money to build right away so I am happy to have this home because it will improve my life a lot, a whole lot … (and I will) move off the squatting area. So you will have your land,  your home and I am thankful  and I want to thank God for this wonderful, wonderful gift for this new year.’’
