Lusignan man fined over possession of cocaine

Terry Ramlall, a 56-year-old fisherman of Lusignan, East Coast Demerara was on Tuesday fined over the possession of cocaine after he pleaded guilty.

The police say that Ramlall was arrested last week with 2.3 grams of cocaine in his possession.

He appeared on Tuesday at the Cove and John Magistrate’s Court where the charge was read to him.

He pleaded guilty and was fined $30,000 cash and sentenced to ninety days of community service at the Vigilance Police Station which will commence tomorrow.
