The final of the Lethem Super Cup Football Championship will occur on Saturday at the Wadapna playfield at 17:00 hrs.
In the women’s final, Guyana Rush Saints will oppose Sky Kings FC at 17:00hrs. In the men’s final, Paiwomak Warriors will lock horns with Strikers FC at 20:00hrs. Prior to the men’s final, a veteran’s encounter will be staged at 19:00hrs.
Chavez Hendricks, coordinator of the annual competition, said, “It is basically the end of the year-end knockout tournament, which comprised 14 trams. Normally, the competition has between seven and eight teams, but this year it was bigger as more teams participated. Saturday is the final. We will have the female final, a veteran’s game, and then the male final.”
Some of the teams that participated in the tournament were: Tabatinga FC, Guyana Rush Saints, Sky Kings, Snatchers, Rising Stars, Far East FC, Challengers FC, Falcons, FC Basin, and Moco-Moco.
