Platinum Side, Hururu finishes third in ‘One Guyana’ Beach Football

Platinum Side and Hururu secured third place in the men and women segments, respectively, of the ‘One Guyana’ King and Queens Beach Football Championship last evening at the PPP office compound in Mackenzie, Linden.

In the men’s 3rd place encounter, Platinum Side bested YMCA 2-1. Second-half goals from Kemar McLaren and Isaiah Adams sealed the victory after Keyshawn Dey had given YMCA the first-half advantage in the 17th minute.

Adams made his presence felt, scoring the go-ahead winner two minutes later.

Similarly, Hururu overcame Aroaima 1-0 in the women’s third-place fixture. Nalani Fredericks recorded the only conversion of the match, as she found the back of the net in the sixth minute.

Up to press time, the women’s final between Dynamo and Speightland, as well as the men’s final between the LA Ballers and DC Ballers, were underway.
