The National Jobs Bank (Guyana National online job centre) was the brainchild of President Irfaan Ali. Currently there are 126 jobs available on it which changes weekly as positions becomes filled and new opportunities becomes available. More needs to be done to promote the online National Jobs Bank with employers to advertise their jobs available as well as to direct citizens to the site to search for jobs. Also, for those without access to the site a way needs to be found to provide access to the online site. The alternative of having an online job site would be to build job centres (which will be costly) in every town and village and make it mandatory for employers to advertise available jobs (for free) at the job centres. The National Jobs Bank can be found at jobs.gov.gy for those with internet access.
