The Guyana Harpy Eagles 13-man squad departed Guyana’s shores yesterday morning for St. Kitts and Nevis, where they will launch their Cricket West Indies (CWI) Regional 4-day championship title defence against Trinidad and Tobago Red Force on February 7 at the Conaree Cricket Ground.

Meanwhile, on Saturday, fast-bowling all-rounder Neiland Cadogan and all-rounder Richie Looknauth were named as late replacements for Nial Smith and Akshaya Persaud, taking the number of potential debutants to five in total.

Ahead of the team’s title defence, Harpy Eagles Assistant Coach Garvin Nedd noted that the team was in good spirits heading into this season’s campaign.

Nedd revealed that the team managed to touch on all departments of work during the Harpy Eagles camp and training sessions. Nedd also expressed confidence in the Eagles giving a good account of themselves in the championship.
