Cadogan, Looknauth, replaces Smith, Persaud in Harpy Eagles squad

Neiland Cadogan and Richie Looknauth will replace Nial Smith and Akshaya Persaud, respectively, in the Guyana Harpy Eagles (GHE) squad following an announcement by the Guyana Cricket Board as the team departs local shores today ahead of their title defence in the 2024 CWI Regional 4-Day Championships.

Essequibo pacer Cadogan replaces fellow seamer Nial Smith, who picked up an injury during the team’s encampment period. Meanwhile, spin-bowling all-rounder Looknauth replaces Akshaya Persaud, who is presently in Jamaica as part of the Combine Campuses and Colleges encampment setup.

The other members of the team, which will be led by debutant Kevlon Anderson, are: Matthew Nandu (VC), Veerasammy Permaul, Anthony Adams, Kevin Sinclair, Ronsford Beaton, Tagenarine Chanderpaul, Raymon Perez, Ronaldo Alimohamed, Steven Sankar, and Kemol Savoury.

The GHE commences their title defence against the Trinidad and Tobago Red Force at Conaree Cricket Centre in St. Kitts on February 7th.
