Vengy and newcomer Genesis recorded contrasting wins when the Georgetown Football Association Pre-Season Championship continued yesterday at the Georgetown Football Club (GFC) ground in Bourda.
Vengy overcame a 0-1 deficit to defeat Pele 3-1. The trio of Brian James, Luis Gutierrez, and Francisco Hernandez netted in the 13th, 21st, and 67th minutes. Briefly giving Pele the lead in the fifth minute was Joshua Bentick. On the other hand, Genesis needled GFC 1-0 via a second-half conversion in the 78th minute.
