Police in Regional Division #8 are investigating the theft of a car belonging to Felthon Benn, a 48-year-old miner, which occurred at around 8.20 pm on Tuesday in El Paso village in the Potaro-Siparuni region.
The 22-year-old suspect, Shelton Richardson, who is a pork knocker from the village, was arrested by Police and has since admitted to sneaking into the Fielder Wagon motorcar #HC 5757 and driving off with the vehicle which was later found crashed on a hill. The vehicle is valued at $1,250,000.
The matter was reported to the Mahdia Police Station after which the suspect was contacted by the Police and told of the allegation.
The suspect confessed to the crime. He was arrested and placed into custody.
