Thirty officials/experts from law enforcement agencies and various social service groups are visiting India for a special Indian Technical and Economic Co-operation (ITEC) course hosted by the National Forensic Sciences University, Gandhinagar, Gujarat.

According to a release from the Indian High Commission, this is a first of its kind initiative under the guidance of leadership from both countries. The special course on forensic examination and interview techniques has been organised at this scale specially for Guyana.

Indian High Commissioner to Guyana, Dr Amit Telang met the visiting delegates and emphasized the importance of the ITEC programme in implementing capacity building initiatives. He also underlined that ITEC scholars have consistently contributed to strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries.
