Twenty-eight households at Tuschen North, Region Three, are set to receive their land ownership documents.

Additionally, they will benefit from essential infrastructure development, including road construction and utility connections.

The announcement came during an engagement with the residents and Minister of Housing and Water,  Collin Croal and Minister within the Ministry of Public Works, Hon. Deodat Indar, yesterday afternoon. Accompanying them were technical staff from the Central Housing and Planning Authority (CH&PA), Guyana Water Inc. (GWI), and Guyana Power and Light (GPL) Inc.

According to a release from the CH&PA)  Croal spoke of plans for a CH&PA team to return to the community in April to facilitate the processing of residents’ Agreement of Sale. This will pave the way for GWI to provide water services in the area.

Meanwhile,  Indar said that following the completion of the ownership document processing, electricity connections would be arranged. He also announced plans for the Ministry’s engineers to conduct a comprehensive mapping of the area to determine suitable locations for infrastructure works. The proposed developments include the construction of a new road network and the construction of concrete drainage systems.
