On Saturday afternoon, acting on information received, the police went to Prince William Street, Plaisance, East Coast Demerara, where they searched an empty lot and found 243 grammes of cannabis.
A police press release stated that ranks found a plastic bag containing a quantity of small transparent bags with leaves, seeds, and stems suspected to be cannabis. When weighed, the narcotics amounted to 243 grammes. Investigations continue.
