‘De Chief’ Archery Club became the latest entity to acquire affiliation with Archery Guyana, according to a press release from the local governing authority.

The release stated that Toshao Yvonne Pearson of the Mainstay/Whyaka Village in Region #2 was pivotal in the acquisition of the affiliate status.

“The club, which has been informally flourishing with its members actively participating in the annual Heritage Games, marks a significant milestone with its formal affiliation to Archery Guyana. This affiliation not only solidifies the club’s commitment to the sport but also opens up avenues for further growth and development,” the release stated.

Meanwhile, Archery Guyana President Vidushi Persaud donated several pieces of equipment to the club. This included two complete target stands, target butts, arrows, and junior recurve bows, among others.
