Prosecutor Quincy Lacon objected to bail being granted stating the seriousness and prevalence of the offence. He told the court that the prosecution is in possession of CCTV footage which showed five other persons who were involved in the collision, resulting in the death of one of them.

Ramandat was represented by attorney-at-law Patrice Henry who told the court that his client is aware of the five other persons involved and he did not attempt to flee the country. He then made an application for Ramandat to be granted bail.

In spite of the prosecutor’s objection, Magistrate Latchman granted bail in the sum of one million dollars.

The matter has been adjourned to May 22.

Kerr, a 28-year-old of Charlotte Street, Georgetown succumbed to her injuries on March 23 at the Liliendaal Hospital.
