US Ambassador to Guyana, Nicole Theriot, accompanied by a representative of the Regional Security System (RSS), Regional Security Officer (RSO), Mayah Shih, on Thursday morning paid a courtesy call on acting Commissioner of Police, Clifton Hicken at his Eve Leary, Georgetown office, a release from the Guyana Police Force stated.

According to the release, also present with the acting commissioner were members of his Executive Leadership Team (ELT). It explained that the cordial meeting delved into discussions on the training scope for the development of the Guyana Police Force, with emphasis placed on maintaining professionalism, fostering continued partnership with the Embassy, and achieving international accreditation.  

  The meeting highlighted the mutual commitment to enhancing law enforcement capabilities and strengthening ties between the two entities, the release added.
