Dear Editor,
Today, I visited Citizens Bank to transact some business. The place was packed and the chairs were all occupied. In line, I was bracing myself for a long wait. Just then, a young man in his late 30s tapped me on the shoulder and offered me his seat. He gave his name as Vinesh.
I wish to publicly thank him for his kind consideration. This suggests that we can make it together as a people. I do not know if he recognised me but this matters not, for it demonstrates there is great hope for our beloved country. I am reminded of the quote on kindness by Goethe which says “Kindness is the golden chain by which society is bound together.” Vinesh, whoever you are, represents the hope of our Nation. Thank you.
