Agricola, Soesdyke contest high scoring draw in East Bank League

Agricola Red Triangle and Soesdyke Falcons played to a 4-4 draw when the East Bank Demerara Football Association Senior Men’s League commenced yesterday at the National Training Centre, Leonora.

Agricola took the initial advantage via Seon Grant Jr., who scored in the 27th minute. The lead was short-lived as Terrence Glasgow equalised in the 30th minute.

Agricola retook the lead in the 33rd minute, as Seon Grant Sr. found the back of the net. However, Glasgow responded once more to restore parity to proceedings as he sealed his brace in the 39th minute.

The score remained unchanged at 2-2 entering the halftime session. Upon the resumption of play, Soesdyke seized the advantage for the first time in the contest via a Shawn Arthur strike in the 47th minute.

Soesdyke’s lead only lasted for 10 minutes as Agricola equalised at 3-3 in the form of Grant Jr., who completed his brace.

The second half continued to mirror the first stanza as Arthur pushed Soesdyke into the lead once more, netting in the 72nd minute.

Nonetheless, Agricola would earn a share of the spoils as Jaden Paul etched his name on the scorer’s sheet in the 79th minute to seal the result at 4-4.
