Castrol Strikers demolished Vanguards by a 3-0 scoreline when the Demerara Volleyball Association’s (DVA) Senior Men’s League continued last evening at the National Gymnasium, Mandela Avenue.

It was a thoroughly lopsided encounter as the experienced Castrol Strikers unit easily brushed aside the threat of the newcomer.

The opening stanza set the tone for the fixture as Castrol Strikers prevailed 25-4. The Vanguards did not fare any better in the second stanza, as they lost 6-25 to surrender a 0-2 advantage.

Though they improved in the third set, the Vanguards suffered another comfortable loss as they fell 13-25. The event continues today at the same venue with another fixture.
