– Marian Academy, Santa Rosa, Belladrum advance to semis

A new champion will be crowned in the Courts Pee Wee Boy’s U-11 Football Championship as titleholder St. Pius were eliminated following a 0-4 quarterfinal defeat at the hands of Rosignol yesterday at the Ministry of Education ground, Carifesta Avenue.

Abdul Kadir bagged a double in the eighth and 18th minutes, while Timothy Rouse and Jeremiah McDonald completed the score with conversions in the first and 39th minutes, respectively.

Meanwhile, Marian Academy, Belladrum, and Santa Rosa also earned quarterfinal wins. Marian Academy defeated Enterprise 2-1. Joshua Johnson recorded a double in the first and 29th minutes. For the loser, Dontay Kowlessar scored in the 20th minute.

Similarly, Santa Rosa edged West Ruimveldt 1-0. Deon Henry recorded the only conversion in the 23rd minute. Identically, Belladrum squeaked past St. John the Baptist 1-0. Jadon Sampson found the back of the net in the 32nd minute.

The semifinal stage will occur at the same venue on Saturday, October 26th. The losing quarterfinalists will compete in the plate section for positions 5-8.
