West Demerara crush East Coast by an innings and 182 runs

Lewis keen on using stint in Guyana to develop game

Jamaica and former West Indies U19 captain, Ramaal Lewis, says he is keen on using his stint here in Guyana to further develop his game while also aiming to use the Guyana Cricket Board/Jaguar’s three – day league to impress enough with the aim of adding to his lone first – class match which he played nearly two years ago.

Experienced first class all-rounder, Christopher Barnwell recorded a pugnacious second innings fifty, his second of the match to power Georgetown to a five-wicket victory over Lower Corentyne in the latest round of the Guyana Cricket Board/Jaguars three- day franchise league at the Lusignan Community Centre Ground, East Coast Demerara, yesterday.

Rutherford 12 – 56 bowls East Bank to come-from-behind victory 

All–rounder Sherfane Rutherford inspired East Bank to a tense come-from-behind 26-run victory over Georgetown after grabbing a second innings `five for’ and a match haul of 12 – 56 in the Guyana Cricket Board (GCB)/Jaguars three – day franchise league at the Lusignan Community Centre Ground, yesterday.

WI U15 Captain eyes U-19 spot

West Indies Under – 15 captain, Sachin Singh, who recently returned from a tour of the United Kingdom where he led the Caribbean side to five wins out of their eight matches, has suggested that the experience playing in England will further develop his game.

Everest ahead of GCC on the first innings after day one
