Iran’s hardliner President Ebrahim Raisi killed in helicopter crash

DUBAI, (Reuters) – Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi, a hardliner seen as a potential successor to Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, was killed in a helicopter crash in mountainous terrain near the Azerbaijan border, officials and state media said today.

Local businessman to develop Liliendaal land formerly owned by Rusal

Local businessman Lennox Cush is seeking to develop the controversial Liliendaal, East Coast Demerara land that was once sold to Russian oligarch Oleg Derispaska’s company Rusal for $150 million and for which Finance Minister Dr Ashni Singh and former  National Industrial and Commercial and Investments Limited (NICIL) head Winston Brassington were charged.
