Granger assures of upgraded syllabus at planned Public Service Staff College

Following a firsthand look at what obtains at the Public Service Training Centre and courses offered, President David Granger yesterday said that works will commence soon for the much needed upgrade.

President outlines plan for efficient public service

Announcing that his administration would soon set up what he called a Public Service Staff College to ensure that public servants can “read, spell and count,” President David Granger yesterday warned that they would be promoted based only on merit and not because of who they might be related to or affiliated with.

Uncertainty hangs over Rodney COI

There is some amount of uncertainty surrounding the continuation of the Walter Rodney Commission of Inquiry (COI) and according to newly-appointed APNU+AFC Attorney General Basil Williams he has to meet with the president to discuss the issue.
