Dear Editor, The nation continues to reel from the shock generated by the $12.5 million per month rental of a storage bond at Sussex Street, Charlestown, Georgetown by the Ministry of Public Health for a fixed term of 3 years.

Dear Editor, I refer to the editorial titled ‘Vigilantism’ (SN, August 26). 

Dear Editor, I saw a photo of the PPP picketing the High Court in Stabroek News of August 24, demanding the expedition of the elections petition, because they claimed the poll was fraudulent and they won the elections.

Dear Editor, This concept of power sharing has been around for many years now ‒ at least 30 years.

Dear Editor,   It now comes as no surprise that Guyana’s economy is stagnant or has been experiencing no significant growth.

Dear Editor, Sydney Allicock should resign or be replaced as the Minister responsible for Indigenous peoples.

Dear Editor, Reference is made to an article published on Friday August 19, 2016 on the online media site, Citizens Report Guyana, under the headline, ‘Region One residents claim PNC’s political gains behind delayed operation of MV Northcote’.

Dear Editor, I have been trying for the past month to get in touch with the Guyana Student Loan office but to this day I have not succeeded. 

Dear Editor,   I think the Hindu public needs to be informed of the reasons for the differences in dates on the Hindu calendar, more especially, why the dates on Dharmic Sabha’s calendar are exactly one day after the dates on the calendars of all other Hindu organizations.

Dear Editor, We are still in our Jubilee year, so how belated could I be in adding my two-bits?

Dear Editor, The continuing and increasing incidence of human resource management practitioners including at the bottom of their vacancy advertisements statements like, “only short-listed applicants will be acknowledged” or words to that effect, risk undermining the very purpose of advertising vacancies.

Dear Editor, Those in society who fought for change in the manner in which the government functions and elected representatives conduct the people’s business carry a corresponding responsibility to hold this new administration accountable to universal acceptable standards.
