Dear Editor, I had started a kitchen garden at my home (built by Food for the Poor) about two years ago, more or less to help myself (I am a pensioner).

Dear Editor, It was to be expected that the Guyana Post Office Corporation would rise to its height to vacuously diffuse a systemic failure on already publicised security breaches, as if the latter were not reflective of the corporate management capacity, as well as of course being irrelevant to the complaint (GPOC is working to address delays at some locations,’ SN, August 26).

Dear Editor, I wish to recognize and applaud the enterprise and dynamism of Nigel’s (Nigels Supermarket), the Clinton Urlings (of Germans), the Lennox John (of Ashmins) and the Courtney Benns (of Courtney Benn Construction) of this great land of ours.

Dear Editor, I have no doubt that the remarks by our Minster of Finance, that “the NIS investments in the Berbice Bridge and CLICO were criminal”, were only a manner of speaking in a heated debate.

Dear Editor, Quick intervention by the coalition government has restored power to the entire Essequibo Coast.

Dear Editor I carefully read a letter in the Kaieteur News, August 26, written by Patrick E Mentore under the captioned ‘GPF can probably learn from the GDF in terms of attracting manpower’, and the rapid response from the police the following day in the same newspaper to certain sections of the missive.

Dear Editor, Inclusionary democracy is grounded in the constitution, laws and internationally acceptable time-honoured principles.

Dear Editor, With due respect, I am absolutely appalled at the standard of reporting seen in your online news reports; it is sometimes quite embarrassing to know that this quality of reporting comes from a country where English is the primary language.

Dear Editor, Audreyanna Thomas’ letter titled, ‘We have to select leaders who are good for the country,’ (SN, Sept 1) should stimulate discussion on how to overcome “fears of the other race”, and simultaneously reduce the excessively high levels of racial voting.

Dear Editor, In a letter published recently in the media, Samuel Hinds former Prime Minister (PM) and Minister responsible for Energy and Electricity in the previous PPP government gave insights into the discord which plagued Guyana Power and Light (GPL) during his tenure until he was relieved of his duties earlier this year.

Dear Editor, I am writing to highlight some serious safety issues that I observed this past Sunday at the Georgetown seawall, specifically the area by the bandstand that has been set aside as a play area for children.

Dear Editor,   The Minister of Education, Dr Rupert Roopnaraine, in commenting on the results of the May-June 2015 CSEC results and in an apparent reference to the number of subjects written by the two students of SVN (Guyana Times, August 17), expressed his belief that students are able to cope with “that number of subjects” because the “intensity” of curriculum has been diluted.

Dear Editor, In his haste to impart important constitutional principles to those of us less knowledgeable, Mr Anil Nandlall (‘PM sitting in Parliament while performing as President…’SN, August 31) appears not to have bothered with the main thrust of Mr Ralph Ramkarran’s article (Sunday Stabroek, August 30) to which he responds.

Dear Editor, Sad to say, but a national problem we are now focusing on has been years in the making.
