Dear Editor, I write to bring to the attention of all concerned a situation pertaining to the existence of liquor restaurants in new government housing schemes across Guyana. 

Dear Editor, The Guyana National Service produced good, disciplined citizens who might have otherwise have turned to a life of crime.

Dear Editor, I agree with Mr Herman Gomes that ‘The President should appoint a Minister of Tourism’ (SN, Sep 19). 

Dear Editor, In 2010 Daniel Felix was leading the 6km road race event and was hit by a vehicle.

Dear Editor, When the government argues that its decision to source pirated textbooks is driven by economics, although conscious that it is violating time-honoured principles, laws and rules of engagement among its Caricom partners, it is exhibiting behaviour that is not dissimilar from that of the pirates who prey on our fishermen.

Dear Editor, It is with profound disgust that I read a letter written by Mr Rajendra Singh who describes himself as President of the Demerara Cricket Board (‘The government must allow the GCB to carry out its functions,’ SN, September 17).

Dear Editor, The press had chivalrously refrained from attacking President Ramotar for his having one Minister trying to run two important ministries – Housing and Industry, Tourism and Commerce.

Dear Editor, A little girl named Shaffiya Jamaluddin died, through no fault of her own, in a horrific vehicular accident which also took the life of Henry Greene. 

Dear Editor, Government is spending millions every year on the Bartica-Potaro road. 

Dear Editor, Like Mr Carl Cheong I too have been following the exchange of letters between Vishnu Bisram and Wesley Kirton with respect to PNC electoral rigging and its illegality between 1968 and 1992. 

Dear Editor, Shortly after the debate on NCN about the President of Guyana‘s pension package and all other benefits that goes with same, I caused a letter to appear in the letter columns of our two major daily newspapers, the Stabroek News and the Kaieteur News in which I mentioned that if would be very very interesting to have NCN with the same moderator and the same panellists, Attorney General and Minister of Legal Affairs Anil Nandlall,  Minister of Labour Nanda Gopaul and Mr Carvil Duncan one of our senior trade unionists, debating the National Insurance Scheme and the old age pension paid to our senior citizens.

Dear Editor, Guyana’s emergence from statehood, and future survival as a well integrated, modernizing and respected nation depends, to a very great extent, on the moral quality of the decisions arrived at by our policy-makers – to wit, the government of the day.  

Dear Editor, I have being reading and following the various articles in the newspaper about the cleaning of the city and keeping it clean.

Dear Editor, A directive is being issued to person desirous of renewing their shop licence. 

Dear Editor, The hype of festivals raises expectations as well as a virile optimism, especially in the young, who are promised that a practical and collaborative approach will follow the speeches and the spectacles.

Dear Editor, During the elections campaign 2011, Guyanese of all races, religions, creeds and classes were spoken to by various political and party representatives and were promised very many things, which caused us to cast our votes for a party we thought  would or could  improve our way of life. 

Dear Editor, I would like to bring to your notice some very serious complaints against the Leonora and Fellowship Post Offices.

Dear Editor, A few days ago I saw a notice in your publication for the Medical Council of Guyana in which the council listed the names of doctors eligible for a place on the board of the new council if  elected by their peers.

Dear Mr. Editor, Permit me to make a few comments about the ‘debate’ being aired on NCN.
