Dear Editor, Please permit me to state the following points in response to a letter by Eric Phillips in the May 9, 2011 edition of Stabroek News headlined `Brother Tacuma should know better than anyone else that Odinga Lumumba cannot threaten Eric Phillips’.

Dear Editor, My ram goat with a market value of $32,000 was killed by a lorry driver who owns the vehicle and unexpectedly sometime later the entire carcass vanished mysteriously with the police showing no interest or concern about my predicament.

Dear Editor, The Norway International Climate and Forest Initiative (NICFI) appears to me to be quite an amorphous entity and the report on its implementation regarding this country’s thrust on the Low Carbon Development Strategy as “unsatisfactory” is simply too superficial to be taken seriously.

Dear Editor, Health Minister, Dr. Leslie Ramsammy’s letter (`All decent Guyanese should take offence at what happened in 1973 on the Corentyne’ SN, May 4), in which he painted himself as both a witness and a victim of the 1973 elections violence, is an attempt to follow his President in dredging up the PNC’s past so that traditional PPP supporters will not repeat what they did in 2006 and stay away in large numbers on Election Day.

Dear  Editor, The  editorial on the seeming instability in the People’s Partnership Government in  Trinidad (SN May 4) is spot on.
