Dear Editor, I refer to an article that appeared in the Kaieteur News on the 28th day of April, 2011 and in the Stabroek News on the 2nd May, 2011, regarding a protest by the residents of Cane Grove affected by dust pollution which emanates from a rice mill located in close proximity to their homes.

Dear Editor, In my last letter, I highlighted that the state of the roads in Kwakwani was the worst I have seen and they reflect the quality of our leaders.

Dear Editor, The press would cease to function without reporters. Reporters keep the press alive and functional in every respect.

Dear Editor, The confusion escalates as it relates to the dropping or axing of the most consistent trio of West Indies cricket, Christopher Gayle, Shiv Chanderpaul and the now recalled Ramnaresh Sarwan.

Dear Editor, It is my opinion that the arrest of Dr Randy Persaud in New York in what appears to be a shouting match between two Guyanese political factions is regrettable.

Dear Editor, A few weekends ago, I was invited to the GT&T 10-10 cricket finals at the Providence Stadium. 

Dear Editor, When I came out in support of Tacuma Ogunseye’s call for African Guyanese to take to the streets to demand power sharing, I did so because I sensed that people were playing politics with the issue.

Dear Editor, My milkman named Robbin from Third Street, Success, East Coast Demerara reported that three men in a white car on Monday morning stole one of his dairy cows and butchered it in the compound of the well-known chimney in Chateau Margot.

Dear Editor, My attention has been drawn to a letter: “GPL must do something about late bills” in SN of May 1, 2011, in which the writer was castigating GPL because his/her electricity was about to be cut off for non-payment. 

Dear Editor, The most recent letter signed by Mr. Neil Kumar `When was the last time the GLTA submitted an audited financial report to the National Sports Commission?

Dear Editor, Mr Ravi Dev (in KN of May 01, titled ”Bullyism”) made a valuable input to the debate over ACDA/Ogunseye’s recent pronouncements in BV.

Dear Editor, Congressman Gregory Meeks, who represents  the 6th. District of NY encompassing the greater Richmond Hill area,  met with Guyanese community leaders in a town hall style meeting on Thursday  evening to listen to their concerns.

Dear Editor, I read Prime Minister Samuel Hinds’ letter to Stabroek News and extracts from his press release addressing ACDA’s Tacuma Ogunseye’s controversial call for Black Guyanese to engage in street protests if the PPP wins the 2011 election and then refuses to engage in meaningful shared governance.

Dear Editor, The sudden rise of crime in our country is now a concern for all Guyanese citizens and the re-introduction of blackouts makes it easier for thieves and criminals to escape very easily from the police and citizens.
