Dear Editor,The news reports in Stabroek News and the Guyana Chronicle of President Jagdeo’s comments at the launch of the Men’s Affairs Bureau record the President’s commentary around the issue of what appears to be the sexual orientation of the men whom the bureau will be dealing with.
Dear Editor, The disappointment expressed by your correspondent (‘It is shocking that Guyana produced less sugar than Jamaica and Belize in Jan 2011’ SN, March 7) regarding Guyana’s sugar production in January 2011 reflects a palpable ignorance of the industry’s operations.
Dear Editor, On Friday, March 4, I attended the launching of Men’s Affairs Bureau at the Umana Yana in Kingston, Georgetown.

Dear Editor, For some time now I have been reading the letters to editors in all the various newspaper publications.
Dear Editor, Piggybacking on my comments in the discussion forum of your newspaper under the news story, ‘We could have taken care of Buxton, Fineman sooner -Jagdeo tells police conference,’ (February 4), let me add that the President and his government could have taken care of most all law enforcement problems long before Rondell ‘Fineman’ Rawlins and Roger Khan, if only the Guyana Police Force had undergone long overdue reforms.
Dear Editor, I thank Joey Jagan for his letters, ‘Letter tried to damage good name of late Dr Jagan’ (SN, March 5), and ‘AFC is following a path of sure oblivion,’ (KN, March 6).

Dear Editor, I refer to a letter by Joey Jagan in SN of March 5 captioned ‘Letter tried to damage the good name of late Dr Jagan.’

Dear Editor, Please refer to an SN article dated March 3 captioned, ‘Activities already planned for Cummings Lodge multi-purpose building.’
Dear Editor, Sugar has become very bitter under the PPP. But I never expected it to become this bitter.
Dear Editor, Now that Brig (rtd) David Granger has been selected the PNC’s presidential candidate, the challenge to the PPP and the invitation to other contending parties and big tent hopefuls, has further defined itself.
Dear Editor, I write this letter to protest the assault on journalist, social activist, and human rights crusader Mark Benschop, who was assaulted by Presidential Press Liaison Officer Kwame McCoy.
Dear Editor, Someone drew to my attention the Chronicle’s bold front page headline: ‘Controversy surrounds elections of Granger, 65, as PNCR Presidential Candidate.’
Dear Editor, The initiative of the AFC to allocate two parliamentary seats to the diaspora is certainly novel and maybe to some, a bit controversial.
Dear Editor, Like many Guyanese currently living overseas, I left Guyana many years ago in search of hope, prosperity, and opportunities for my children.
