Dear Editor, I was in South Ruimveldt on Sunday afternoon, and while walking across the Plaza bridge, I observed what I considered a prime example of waste.

Dear Editor, Recently I was fortunate to see pictures of Arlington Cemetery in America and believe me, I was very emotional for quite a while after, with vivid memories of our own Le Repentir which is unfortunately the final resting place for many Guyanese citizens who have served this country with distinction.

Dear Editor, After reading Godfrey Chin’s ‘Tribute to the Metropole,’ Sunday Stabroek Dec 19, the only thing that immediately came to mind was the song by Michael Jackson Bad, and indeed he truly is; there can be no other description, just plain and simple, ‘Bad.’

Dear Editor, In a comment on my letter which appeared in SN on January 27 (‘The President is not empowered to extend GT&T’s licence’), a blogger with the initials ‘gtt’ wrote that “Gita Ragubhir is the Director of Telecommunications.”  

Dear Editor, The police in Berbice or in Guyana never cease to amaze me.

Dear Editor, There is something happening in Linden that would make the founder of the Scouts, Lord Baden Powell, smile in his grave, though buried far away across the sea in England.
