Error in reply to Ramcharan letter

Dear Editor, I refer to my letter of yesterday’s date headlined `Advisory Committee on border case is considering pleadings to be prepared and the Counsel and Advocates will be geared for all relevant eventualities’ topic which includes a sentence that reads as follows: “My office would be only too happy to share this material with Dr Ramcharan”.

Dear Editor, In his contributions to the Sunday Stabroek and Stabroek  News on 20th  and 28th  December respectively, Dr Bertrand Ramcharan has questioned, by way of a full page contribution not shared with the Ministry by the Editor before publication, in surprisingly strong terms, the decision of the International Court of Justice regarding Guyana’s complaint.

Dear Editor, The Kaieteur News’ front-page headline of January 01 blared that the “Gas-to-shore project, a recipe for bankruptcy” and went on to quote a “US Financial Expert” who shared a very pessimistic view about the viability of any proposed gas to shore project being executed by the government of Guyana.

No clarity on how this new deal makes up for shortfalls on US$150M CJIA project

Dear Editor, Recently the government announced that it has entered into a deal with China Harbour Engineering Company (CHEC) for additional work at CJIA “to the amount of approximately US$9M at the sole cost of CHEC”, which includes two more passenger boarding bridges, additional commercial space, and completion of outstanding remedial works.
