Dear Editor, I thank you for allowing me to use this medium, perhaps for the final time, to air this personal dilemma.

Dear Editor, As an old man and a citizen of Guyana in self-exile, I still feel that I ought to comment on certain tendencies in Guyanese society and its governance as they appear to me.

Dear Editor, My regard for Mr. Nigel Hinds went up several notches. 

Dear Editor, Unbelievably, Christmas came early to Guyana last week when several high-ranking Americans, representing various government departments, descended on these shores, bearing ‘gifts’ in the form of promises of massive Yankee dollars for investment in our troubled land.

Dear Editor, Most times, the Venezuelan left-centre parties have been ambivalent about the Essequibo.

Dear Editor, I, like many other Guyanese, are concerned about the actions taken by the government or governmental institutions in response to the occupation of “state” lands at Success.

Dear Editor,  Having been de-recognised by the past administration and with the new administration in government,  what now is the status of the Office of the Commissioner of Information? 

Dear Editor, Reference is made to the article titled, `Payara licence contains key environmental updates – Energy Dep’t, EPA started process, as few safeguards seen in Liza-1’ (SN October 18). 

Dear Editor, The recent actions of the Irfaan Ali administration have not gone unnoticed in light of the COVID-19 pandemic: the decision to end the rotation of public servants; encouraging citizens to meet in large numbers at events such as the Ministry of Housing and Water’s ‘Dream Realised, Housing outreach 2020’.

Dear Editor,  I am writing this letter in particular to the Government of Guyana, the Honourable Minister of Home Affairs and his Ministry, Law Enforcement Agencies, Security Firms, and weapon lovers on the dangers and risks of weapons if they are not properly used.

Dear Editor, The Guyana Women Miners Organisation (GWMO) and the National Mining Syndicate (NMS) welcome the Government’s efforts to support the mining sector through the provision of tax concessions on equipment and ATVs.

Dear Editor, I’ve come to the realization that our nation is at the crossroads. 

Dear Editor, Before I return to Mr Vincent Alexander’s letter (SN 10-13-20) to address his substantive concerns on our ethnic problems, I wish to compliment him for eschewing polemics to engage in a dialogue in search of solutions to those problems. 

Dear Editor, The assets of NICIL should be sold off and NICIL should be liquidated.

Dear Editor, Prior to getting to the point of this letter, we wish you and all our readers safety during this global pandemic.

Dear Editor, I am not a politician, not a lawyer, nor a teacher but rather, I consider myself as a humanitarian worker, with several decades of rich experience in this noble field.

Dear Editor, There have been many letters recently about an “ethnic security dilemma (ESD)” in Guyana. 

Dear Editor, Since 1895, the USA has always been involved in matters concerning the Essequibo.

Dear Editor, I would like to appeal to GuySuCo and the new government to reconsider their current approach in the handling of the squatting problem at Success.

Dear Editor, Venezuela has the largest reserves of oil in the world (300 Billion barrels).
