Dear Editor, The PNCR refers to an article published in the October 27, 2020 edition of the Guyana Times newspaper with the headline “PNCR Executive collects US$1M for flipped lands at Peters Hall”, the “PNCR Executive” use in the headline is erroneous.

Gov’t should get on with recommended political audit of GECOM

Dear Editor, The three-member Caricom team that witnessed the complete recount of the 2nd March 2020 General Elections recommended among other things that “… a political audit of GECOM, (its successes and failing and the factors contributing to this), both the Commission and its administrative arm, is urgently warranted.

We have a serious problem with our words which leads to low self-esteem

Dear Editor, As I reflect on the letter, I wrote last week on ‘Time to up the struggle’ (SN October 18),  aiming to encourage our people to stay strong, fight weak systems and educate themselves in this season,  I thought – how can a people get up and fight when emotions of low esteem and self-confidence are running high.
