Dear Editor, The GAWU has seen the comments of GuySuCo’s Corporate Communications Manager, Ms Audreyanna Thomas which appeared in the August 10, Stabroek News regarding the recent strike action by workers of Albion Estate.

Dear Editor, There is a movement afoot by the Caretaker Coalition Government to have the next general election slip from the norm of being free and fair, characteristic values recognised and upheld by every democratic country, to being merely credible.

Dear Editor, The following response addresses the charge made against me by the PPP/C, in a press release issued over the weekend,  that pointing out the fact that the Caribbean Court of Justice (CCJ) did not give a deadline/specific date for elections is misleading.

Dear Editor, Since October 19, 2017, Mr. David Granger (currently the Caretaker President of Guyana) has used a variety of ploys to delay adherence to the Constitution.

Dear Editor,  Driving down the East Coast the other evening and seeing people walking on the seawall silhouetted by the setting sun, I felt an overwhelming nostalgia for simpler times.

Dear Editor, In keeping with Creditinfo’s (CI) thrust to expand its efforts at enhancing public awareness regarding its mandate, functions and importance I wish to make reference to a matter that was recently highlighted in the media by a customer and to utilize this experience as an opportunity to provide clarification on the key issues to be noted particularly by consumers with respect to the new and growing credit reporting industry in Guyana.

Dear Editor, Last Friday, Justice Claudette Singh (Rtd), the Chairwoman of GECOM spoke at the opening ceremony of two GECOM Registration Offices, at Corriverton and Whim, respectively, Region 6.

Dear Editor, Craig Sylvester, Party Leader & Presidential Candidate of the Democratic National Congress, in his SN letter, `We urge gov’t to seriously reconsider position and name an election date’, has made excellent observations and suggestions regarding President Granger’s refusal to honour the country’s constitution.
