Dear Editor, I refer to a letter ` Guyana still to nominate Ambassador to Gulf countries’  written on a matter pertaining to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, by Mr Ray Chickrie and published by Stabroek News on July 31st.

Dear Editor, Many corporate persons and business owners know the importance of being family-friendly, but it seems that they often don’t pay too much attention, thinking that families with children are a minority market that only those businesses specifically targeting that market need to cater to.

Dear Editor, I, Alister Charlie, PPP/C MP for Region 9, hereby totally reject the false allegations that have been made about me as reported in the Guyana Chronicle and other media sources.

Dear Editor, I refer to the Stabroek News editorial of Monday, 5th August (Constitutional governance).

Dear Editor, Indranie Deolall is a name I recall from her days at the Guyana Chronicle in the 90’s when she wrote  the report on the turtle that had washed up on the foreshore.

Dear Editor, The recent mass shootings in the United States have once again brought to the fore the issue of hate crimes which are blamed on xenophobic tendencies fuelled by political rhetoric.

Dear Editor, Reference is made to the letter which appeared in Stabroek News dated Saturday August 3, 2019 and captioned `NIS claim cannot be processed as GuySuCo has not paid in my contributions’.

Dear Editor, As a reader of the Stabroek News, I was a bit taken aback by its publication on Saturday, August 4th 2019 of a story which says that over 100,000 persons have registered so far during GECOM’s house-to-house registration exercise.

Dear Editor, The Minister of Natural Resources Hon. Raphael Trotman and staff of the Ministry of Natural Resources wish to express sincerest condolences to the family of Retta Samuels who died in a mining pit collapse on Friday, August 2, 2019.

Dear Editor, I have a serious matter that is affecting myself and family that is causing us to be uncomfortable in our own homes.

Dear Editor, In April last, there was a report in the media that Guyana Goldfields Inc announced that it will be embarking on deep underground mining at its Aurora mine.

Dear Editor, Confidence in Government was lost on December 21, 2018. 

Dear Editor, As the return-to-school bell looms on the horizon, there remains an issue that if continued to run unchecked would ultimately serve as the educational death knell of our children.

Dear Editor, There is a story making the rounds in India following the apparent suicide by ‘Coffee King’ VG Siddhartha. 

Dear Editor, I write to highlight the neglected, unkempt, litter-strewn and weed-overgrown condition of the parapets, pavements, drains and median in front of the National Stadium at Providence and beyond.

Dear Editor, There was good news for Guyana in ExxonMobil’s call report for the second quarter of 2019.

Dear Editor, I am glad to observe, however reluctantly and carefully, that a spirit of compromise is trickling into the business of Gecom.
