Dear Editor,
The Essential Services Arbitration Act (Chapter 54:01) provides for an Arbitration Tribunal for the settlement of disputes in public utility undertakings, and in certain other services.
Dear Editor,
I write to commend the Bar Association of Barbados for calling out Judges who fail to give decisions within the time stipulated by the Barbadian Constitution.
Dear Editor,
With respect to the Chief Co-operatives Development Officer’s (CCDO) assertion that he has been advised (by the deposed Committee of Management members) that the membership of the Guyana Public Service Co-operative Credit Union (GPSCCU) Limited stands at 25,385, I am convinced that he was not provided with documentation to that effect.
Dear Editor,
I recently noticed two letters, one by Jhagroo Persaud and a response by former President, Donald Ramotar, making reference to the 2015 National and Regional Elections.
Dear Editor,

Dear Editor,
I write with reference to the article in Stabroek News’ Saturday 16th Edition titled Zombification of political parties and its referencing of PM Modi of India
I write to express my disagreement and actually disgust over Professor Jan–Werner Mueller’s article where he dealt with the current takeover of the Republican Party by Donald Trump and his supporters, however he has mentioned in an obtuse manner the name of Prime Minister Modi lumping him with the likes of Victor Orban of Hungary and Kaczynski, former Prime Minister of Poland.
“Realise that the hardest step in achieving anything is making a true commitment” – Tony Robbins

Dear Editor,
I worked the day shift with former President Cheddi Jagan on the day he would normally go to his office to meet people with appointments, but as we settled in his car and was on the move, he said to me and the driver, “Comrade, we have to make a short stop to see my doctor.”
Dear Editor,
As a student of politics, I am struck by the irony that a potential presidential candidate, barring his disposal at Congress, appears to lack a fundamental understanding of governance, public policy, and administration, yet aspires to lead a nation boasting the fastest-growing economy, globally.
Dear Editor,
I wish to congratulate your newspapers for allowing the space to cover the reunion event and to publish score cards and results of this momentous year, 1983, and Mr.
Dear Editor,
The political panacea has again failed in Haiti. Immediately upon resignation of the Prime Minister, the country exploded (for the umpteenth time) into a bedlam of anarchy.
For all our own crime challenges and the questions that continue to be raised as to whether our law enforcement is up to keeping those challenges in check, it is difficult for us not to look over our shoulders at fellow Caribbean Community member country Trinidad and Tobago where there exists the widespread feeling that the term ‘killing fields’ is altogether appropriate to sum up the contemporary crime situation there.
Dear Editor,
Retired workers in Guyana have for too long been shortchanged by entities such as the National Insurance Scheme (NIS) and Ministry of Education, institutions that can do far better when it comes to rewarding senior citizens who contributed throughout their working lives to keep them viable.
Dear Editor,
The First Peoples of our beloved country are presently undergoing political and ethical dilemmas, lacking in genuine and sincere representation and sub-standard leadership by the state’s senior officials.
