Dear Editor, In another week, Guyanese of all walks of life will go to the polls to elect the next president and the team of people to govern Guyana at the national and regional levels for the next five years.

Dear Editor, This is the closest election in 20 years in Guyana.

Dear Editor, Our country has experienced tremendous development since 1992. Prior to ‘92 the country was in a mess, which is a mild way to put it. 

Rawle Blackman died at the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation on Sunday November 13 after reportedly sustaining serious head injuries in circumstances which, up until now, appear unclear.

Dear Editor, The Guyana Police Force wishes to clarify that contrary to what was stated by Stabroek News in its publication of Saturday, November 19, 2011, riot police ranks were not dispatched to the Stabroek Market Square during a political meeting held by the PPP/C party, that was being disturbed by a crowd of about 200 persons.
