In another week, Guyanese of all walks of life will go to the polls to elect the next president and the team of people to govern Guyana at the national and regional levels for the next five years.
Rawle Blackman died at the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation on Sunday November 13 after reportedly sustaining serious head injuries in circumstances which, up until now, appear unclear.
Quite why the political parties bother to go the trouble and cost of compiling, printing and distributing bound documents which they call manifestos is a mystery.

The Guyana Police Force wishes to clarify that contrary to what was stated by Stabroek News in its publication of Saturday, November 19, 2011, riot police ranks were not dispatched to the Stabroek Market Square during a political meeting held by the PPP/C party, that was being disturbed by a crowd of about 200 persons.
