The recent comments attributed to the PPP/Civic government in its political manifestation which have labelled the March 2010 CADRES Guyana Poll as “bogus” are not entirely surprising.

The editorial of the Stabroek News of June 7 is on the whole without foundation and an unjustified attack on Dr Frank Anthony, Minister of Culture, Youth and Sport.
At the beginning of this week, the new British Prime Minister, David Cameron warned the British people that they are likely to undergo a long period of austerity, his government’s survey of the economy producing a conclusion that the country’s financial situation was “even worse than we thought.”

The volume of abuse visited most recently on Mr Christopher Ram, although it may not be the same in form as the faecal waste thrown on Mr Frederick Kissoon, is essentially of the same quality.
