Dear Editor, The recent comments attributed to the PPP/Civic government in its political manifestation which have labelled the March 2010 CADRES Guyana Poll as “bogus” are not entirely surprising.

Dear Editor, I have read the outpourings of Paul Slowe since his retirement parade and the accolades bestowed on him by members of the public.

Sixteen-year-old Kelvin Fraser was killed on Monday when the shot from a policeman’s gun entered his body, perhaps damaging vital organs or severing a major artery.

Dear Editor, Having worked alongside both Cheddi Jagan and Forbes Burnham, I am satisfied, beyond a doubt, that neither of these patriots was racist, but were victims of both external and internal forces; this has left a permanent, and ugly ethnic scar on our country.

Dear Editor, Mr Lincoln Lewis is again at it.  While I will not deal with his inaccuracies, he is now making a new sweeping charge against the government of working with employers to undermine the trade union movement.

Dear Editor, The editorial of the Stabroek News of June 7 is on the whole without foundation and an unjustified attack on Dr Frank Anthony, Minister of Culture, Youth and Sport. 

Dear Editor, I noticed in your newspaper an article about dead fish in the Lamaha canal, I read also that tests had been done and nothing was found.

Dear Editor, Stabroek News must immediately admit it made a mistake regarding the CADRES poll and it must apologise to the Guyanese people forthwith.

Dear Editor, I applaud your newspaper for publishing the findings of the CADRES poll conducted in March. 

At the beginning of this week, the new British Prime Minister, David Cameron warned the British people that they are likely to undergo a long period of austerity, his government’s survey of the economy producing a conclusion that the country’s financial situation was “even worse than we thought.” 

Dear Editor, The decline of education in Guyana since the 1980s has been a major concern for every educated Guyanese citizen.

Dear Editor, The volume of abuse visited most recently on Mr Christopher Ram, although it may not be the same in form as the faecal waste thrown on Mr Frederick Kissoon, is essentially of the same quality.
