Dear Editor, 2019 has been an unforgettable political year for Guyana, if only for the indelible and extreme breaches of our Constitution and Court Rulings following the No Confidence Vote and the grand finale confession coming three years after the signing of a Production Sharing Agreement (PSA), when the APNU+AFC administration represented by Minister Raphael Trotman, casually stated that “I would be the first to admit that we should have done far better than we have done.”
Dear Editor, I must be optimistic; I have to be, or there is nothing.

Dear Editor, After a hiatus of some years, and at the urging of several persons who can best be described as concerned citizens, I am forced to go against my earlier conclusion that it makes absolutely no sense in sharing my thoughts on national issues since things will remain pretty much the same whether I write or not, and the safest (and sanest) thing to do is to do nothing.

Dear Editor, Reference is made to your editorial `New Parties’ (Dec 22) and GHK Lall’s `Small parties should form one grand coalition’ (Dec 23).
