Kitty man remanded on attempted murder charge

A man accused of attempting to kill another man after they had a misunderstanding was remanded to prison when he appeared at the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court yesterday.

Michael Singh of 66 Sandy Babb Street, Kitty was not required to plead to the charge of attempting to commit murder and was remanded to prison by Magistrate Oneidge Waldron-Allicock.

It is alleged that last Friday in Georgetown, he attempted to murder Sahadeo Singh by wounding or causing him grievous bodily harm. Following police investigations he was arrested and charged.

Police Prosecutor Hugh Winter informed the court that the virtual complainant was still hospitalized. Singh will return to court on December 21 at Court One.
