Americans defeat Enmore

The American Society of Cricket (ACS) team of New York, United States of America continued their annual tour of Guyana with a win over Enmore at the Malteenoes Sports Club ground yesterday.

ACS won the toss and invited Enmore to take first strike. They scored 160 for eight in the allotted 35 overs.

Adrian Persaud struck two fours and two sixes to top score with 39 and Sheik Mohammed contributed 36.

Guyana under-19 skipper Stephen Jacobs bowling for ACS picked up two wickets for 23 runs.

ACS responded by blasting 161 for five in 24.2 overs former US skipper Zamin Amin blasted three fours and two sixes to lead with 37, Sase Singh stroked seven boundaries while scoring 36, Kumar Ramsabad and Karran Ganesh contributed 21 and 20 respectively.

The tourists will take on Everest Sports club on Wednesday and tackle the Georgetown Cricket Club on Saturday.
