A solid half-century from Dominique Rikhi and a four-wicket haul from Damion Jacobs helped American Cricket Society (ACS) to a 45-run win over Enmore Community Centre Cricket Club Saturday.

At Enmore, ACS, sent in, posted 214 for eight from their allotted 30 overs. Enmore, in response, reached 170 when their overs ran out.

Rikhi was patient and followed up on his 48 from their first match of the Goodwill tour with another top score, this time 63 from 55 balls. His innings featured four boundaries and ended when he slapped a simple return catch to off-spinner, Chaitram Balgobin, off a full toss.

Rikhi, a former national youth player, added 63 for the second wicket with Kevon Boodie who clubbed four sixes and two fours during a spirited 39-ball 41.

The USA national player then shared in an 84-run partnership with Jamaica-born Oraine Williams who made an even 50 from just 27 balls. Williams carved four sixes and three fours before he lost his off-stump to Balgobin (3-33).

Cameos came from Trinson Carmichael (20) who was dropped the ball before his dismissal, Karan Gandesh (17) and Akshay Homraj (12).

Satash Jainarine ended with 3-30.

In the chase, Enmore lost wickets consistently and Vishwanauth Ramlakhan was their only pillar.

Ramlakhan stroked three boundaries in 54 from 59 balls while Balgobin was a bit impatient during his 19-ball 20. Balgobin took on first-class leg spinner, Jacobs and smashed him for successive sixes over mid-wicket but Jacobs had the final laugh, bowling the 18-year-old left-hander off the final ball of the over.

Jacobs also removed Richard Chatura who top edged a skidding delivery to Amanauth Persaud and Jainarine who was stumped by Boodie. Jacobs settled for 4-33 but could have had a five-wicket haul had Seecharran not dropped a catch on the long on boundary. Seecharran, however, returned 2-25.

ACS, who faced Chesney yesterday will play Everest Cricket Club today and a Guyana XI tomorrow.
