The Georgetown and Consumer Affairs Commission has been tasked with administering the Competition and Fair Trading Act (CFTA) and the Consumer Affairs Act to foster a fair business environment and protect consumers.

According to the Government Information Agency (GINA) the Commission

encourages the public to freely express their concerns or complaints regarding any contravention of the Act and if they suspect that they might have been a victim of anti-competitive business conduct to file a complaint at telephone numbers 219-2800 or 219-3926. The Commission falls under the auspices of the Ministry of Tourism, Industry and Commerce.
