Over the past three weeks I was unable to write because I was unwell. I was asked about the Minister Kellawan Lall incident. I am of the opinion that the Minister erred badly. On the other hand I do not think that we should be so harsh on him. He is just human and made a mistake. What he should have done is to openly apologise to the entire nation.
No minister should be at an outdoor party in the wee hours of the morning. I think the minister needs to re-examine his role. Life can be more rewarding and satisfying without alcohol consumption and late night visits at various unusual spots.
Ministers should be mindful of their respective responsibilities and try to conduct themselves in a dignified way and ensure that they uphold the laws of the land at all times.
I trust he would be brave enough to apologise and ask the people of this country to forgive him.
