Gunmen posing as customers hijacked the motor car of Lalchan Roopnarine on Saturday night and later abandoned it in the Subryanville area, police said in a statement yesterday.
Police said that Roopnarine picked up two men around 9 pm along Vlissengen Road to go to Stanley Place, Kitty. Upon arrival he was held at gunpoint and forced out of the vehicle by the two men who drove away with his car. The vehicle was found intact about midnight on Saturday abandoned in Subryanville, the police statement added.
