Guyana What and Where for April launch

A second updated edition of the pocket-sized handbook and guide, Guyana What and Where 2008-9, which was published last year by General Executive Management Services Inc (GEMS) and launched prior to World Cup Cricket, is in progress to be launched in April 2008.

According to a press release from GEMS, the first edition of the booklet was quickly exhausted in 2007. It was well received by the public locally as well as by tourists because it contained important information about Guyana in addition to a centrefold map of Georgetown.

The second edition will be larger than the original 100 pages, GEMS said, and will include additional information and features on birding and sport, among other things.

Guyana What and Where 2008-9 will have a print run of 50,000 to ensure that copies will last throughout the year, and it will be available at the airport arrival lounge and other relevant locations for free distribution, the release said.
