A policeman in the Potaro/Siparuni region who went swimming on Sunday turned up dead yesterday, a statement from the Police Public Relations unit has said.
According to the statement, investigations have been launched into the circumstances surrounding the death of Police Constable 18018 Armond Moe of Monkey Mountain Police Station, Region Eight, Potaro/Siparuni.
The statement said the man’s body was found in the river at Echilibar, Takuba River about 1 pm yesterday. Police said he had reportedly left to go swimming around 1:30 pm on Sunday.
