Sophia man dies after lighting himself afire

A 26-year-old South Sophia man who suffered severe burns to his body died yesterday at the Georgetown Public Hospital.

It is suspected that Charlon Wills of 605 Trotman Street, Block X, South Sophia set himself afire some time on Wednesday and was later rushed to GPH for medical attention late that evening.

Agatha Valentine, mother of the late Wills, was not present at her South Sophia home when this newspaper visited. However, residents of the area said that the man lit himself afire and was later seen jumping into a nearby trench.
