17-year-old remanded on gun and ammo charges

A 17-year-old was remanded when he appeared before Magistrate Hazel Octive-Hamilton on charges of unlawful possession of a firearm and ammunition.

Clive Ford of 35 Laing Avenue allegedly had in his possession on March 27 one double-barrel shotgun and one live 16-gauge cartridge. He also allegedly had on March 28 one .38 revolver and one .38 live round of ammunition without being the holder of a valid licence. Ford pleaded not guilty to all the charges and told the magistrate that the police ”aint find no gun on me.”

Ford who also appeared together with another accused facing other charges was remanded until May 21.
