The Lusignan Golf Course will buzz with activity this weekend when furniture giant Courts Guyana Inc. sponsor Saturday’s Medal Play Golf tournament and none other than Courts Managing Director Lester Alvis is in the lineup.
The golfers have been hard at training in anticipation of winning several attractive prizes up for grabs in the one-day event.
More than 30 golfers are expected to participate and those who have not registered have until Friday at 16:00 hours to do so.
Prizes will be awarded to the top four finishers along with Nearest to the Pin at hole number 8, longest drive at hole number five and a lucky draw which will be done during the presentation ceremony scheduled for 18:00 hours.
Alvis, an avid golf enthusias, has already registered to compete while he and Marketing Manager Molly Hassan will assist in the distribution of prizes.
Alvis said the management of courts will be presenting special gifts for all participants as the furniture giant was very enthusiastic at being involved in this tournament.
Also listed to take part are Patrick Prashad who has won two tournaments so far this year including the recently held Vish Trading tournament, Chatterpaul Deo, Raj Sankar, Ian Gouveia, Gavin Todd, Carlos Adams, Ronald Bulkhan, Mel Sankies, Clifford Reis, Alfred Mentore, Mike Guyadin, Melissa Humphrey, Dr. Ram Singh, Christine Sukhram, Imran Khan and B. Deo.
Assembly time is 12:20 for Tee off at 12:30 hours.
