Conquerors, Panthers rack up heavy wins

Fruta Conquerors and Plaisance Panthers racked up 3-0 wins over Buxton and Beacons respectively when the third round of the Guyana Football Assoc-iation (GFA) Courts Inc. Peewee Under-11 football competition continued at the Banks DIH Thirst Park ground on Saturday.

Ronald SookooDarren MarksDemetry Clarke Also recording victories were Crane, who beat Santos 2-0, Strike Again, who defeated Thomas United 1-0 and Pouderoyen, who defeated Camptown 2. Green Acres Primary and Mocha Champs played to a 0-0 draw.

Three teams, Monedder-lust, New Amsterdam and Ann’s Grove failed to show up for the competition.

Ryan Hackett‘s double in the fourth and 21st minutes laid the foundation for Fruta Conquerors Buxton while Romello Fraser’s 22 minute goal capped a fruitful first half for Conquerors.

Strike Again could only manage one strike from Keith Caines past Thomas United’s custodian which occurred in the third minute.

Dmitri Clarke in the third, Darren Mark in the 24th and Ronaldo Sookhoo in the 33rd minutes of play were the goal scorers for Panthers against Beacons.

The Travises were clicking for Santos Football Club as Travis Fitzpatrick and Travis Anthony were the sole contributors in the team’s 2-0 defeat of Crane.

In the Camptown/ Pouderoyen match, Pouderoyen’s Cornell Paul scored in the fifth minute only for Camptown’s Oziel Small to equalize in the 16th before Jamal Archer had the final say for Pouderoyen when he found the back of the net in the 37th minute.
